Tunisian Baby Block Blanket
This pattern assumes basic knowledge of Tunisian crochet. If not, please contact me on my page to request further information.
Three different patterns will be used - one pattern for each color.
Edges may curl. End result should straighten out when stitched together, but adding the optional border should stretch it enough to not curl any more. Washing it might help too. If you want to block, that’s up to you. I don’t because I find that things stretch well when sewn together.
You can personalize this blanket by adding cross stitch, if you like to embroider. Tunisian crochet becomes an awesome canvas for cross stitch, and I like to cross stitch the name of the child receiving the blanket. However, this is completely optional and this pattern does not include instructions on cross stitching.
You can sub any yarn that you want, just remember to go up 1-2 hook sizes from the size indicated on the yarn package for Tunisian. A comparable and probably cheaper yarn is Red Heart Baby Hugs Light.
There will be a total of 16 blocks (5 blue, 6 yellow, 5 orange) that will get sewn together.
This pattern is for personal use only. You may not alter, sell, distribute, nor copy in whole nor in parts this pattern or pictures, according to US Copyright laws. However, feel free to print for personal use.
A special thank to Cy Kirsch for his pictures for my pattern!
