Tunisian Corset Belt
This pattern is an ideal, simple introduction to the basics of Tunisian crochet for someone looking to try it for the first time and make use of its firm, non-stretch qualities to the full.
Inspired by romantic, historical images of delicate white cotton summer dresses and contrast waist accessories, this belt or corset is an ideal way to update dresses that are pretty but lacking in shape. There are several finishing options to choose from in order to get a shape and style that suits each wearer plus the lacing can be worn to the front or rear.
For maximum flexibility, this pattern includes a table that allows you to create a custom length belt to fit any size waist exactly as you wish. It also supplies common sizing options for both the belt length, i.e. the waist circumference, and for the belt width, i.e. the vertical measurement when worn.
Some tips and videos are included for embellishment ideas, e.g. appliqué and embroidery.
