I really love this kitchen cloth - I designed it for my own kitchen and I use it every day - I used the Lily Sugar and Cream Cones - so am not sure how much yarn you will need if you use the regular size balls - my guess would be 2 of each color.

When switching to SC for the trim - I went over the last RED row and into the top of the next one, loosely - keeps from having “holes” - if you have problems or questions - email me and I will be glad to try to help.
