I have tried to write this pattern in a universal way, in order for everyone to be able to easily understand the instructions. It is with this in mind that I hope I have succeeded and you enjoy using the pattern. Happy crocheting!

The shawl is worked from the outside inwards. The outer section of squares is worked entrelac style, in a V shape, before the central section is “filled-in” with a long or extended Tunisian crochet hook.

The squares are made one at a time along a foundation chain. Starting at the centre point and working in rows from one side to the other making a V shape. The stitches used are Tunisian knit stitch extended (i.e. Tunisian knit stitch plus one chain), chain, Tunisian simple stitch reversed. Stitch instructions can be found in Abbreviations section.

The central or main part is later worked, using Tunisian simple stitch reversed and knit stitch, by picking up the stitches from the internal edges of the V shape.
