Tunisian Ort Bag
I designed this ort bag to teach Tunisian crochet by making something useful. Use any of your leftover wool and match the hook accordingly. Try a crochet hook before you buy a Tunisian hook, to see if you like it. This project requires a short number of stitches, therefore a crochet hook length will suffice. eg Use 8 ply wool with a 4mm hook, or follow the label on the yarn.
Tunisian Simple Stitch (also known as classic) makes a strong fabric similar to a woven piece, so this bag is little, but strong. There is no sewing, as I have incorporated the windmill construction technique, where you use the first side edge to begin the second and so on.
I use two ort bags on my design desk. Make an ort bag for your quilting, sewing, embroidery, spinning, crocheting or knitting friends. This is a great gift as it folds flat to post as well.
