The instructions for this pattern allow for it to be made with any yarn or thread desired in any size needed. It is done in tunisian crochet. Experience with tunisian crochet is highly recommended for this pattern. It works up quickly for an experienced crocheter and uses a minimal amount of yarn. The flower is worked separately and is optional. Adding the flower to an alligator clip makes it removable and usable to accessorize other hats or bags as well.
