Tunisian Strips
This is the perfect project If you’ve always wanted to try Tunisian Crochet, but felt too intimidated by the terminology or the long hook. With this project, you can use your normal crochet hook!
Many step-by-step photo’s at the end of this pattern will guide you through the basics of Tunisian Crochet. You can also check out my video tutorial (link in the pattern).
This pattern completely changes the look of self-patterning yarn. The long narrow strips will bring out the colour changes in a very different way compared to working in rounds, rows, squares or any kind of motif. You can play around with the length of your strips to make sure that you bring out the unique colour changes of your yarn.
The pattern also includes detailed information on yarn substitution and includes many different size options.
Since Tunisian Crochet has quite a hefty curl to it, I designed a border around the blanket that will completely flatten the edges, so you don’t even have to block your blanket.
So if you are looking for a pattern to get you started in the art of Tunisian Crochet, look no more!
