Tuomas-socks are a little tribute to Seitsemän veljestä (The Seven Brothers) novel by Aleksis Kivi, the national author of Finland. Tuomas was the second oldest of the brothers with his twin, Aapo. Tuomas was described to be reliable and stable, strong as a bull.

The pattern is written for magic loop, but can easily be modified for double pointed needles.
