Turkish Inspired Linked Shell Pattern
I got the idea for this from a Turkish bath towel trim, they really are beautiful and delicate and so inspiring!
This looks a lot more complicated than it is, it’s just chains, double crochet and slip stitches! I’ve included plenty of step by step photos in the pattern just in case things get lost in translation, and I’ve endeavoured to make it as easy as possible.
I’ve used 2 balls of what I had hanging around in different colours (what I call standard doubleknit wool) and I didn’t finish the balls off. It’s made in sections and then connected after to make the chain into a scarf so you can make it as long as you like, but it looks so lovely, the more you wrap it around the richer it looks with all it’s curls :)
