A good traditional scarf that is structured yet comforting. The yarn is soft, yet strong with excellent stitch definition. The stitches change directions with each color and create a visually striking pattern with squishy ribbing in between - a safe place to land between changes. Created in dk weight yarn this scarf is timeless, warm, and a special gift for anyone you love, including yourself!
No matter which direction life takes us, we will ride the turning tides together.

Supplies Needed:

US straight Needles Size 5 or 16inch circular
2 stitch markers
493 yards of dk weight yarn-
90 yds navy-Color 1
186 yds gold-Color 2
223 yds cream-Color 3
Sample shown uses: 5 skeins of Brooklyn Tweed Arbor -145yds each
Colors used in sample:
Color 1: Fleet (navy) (1 skein)
Color 2: Burnished (gold) (2 skeins)
Color 3: Driftwood (cream)
(2 skeins)

Finished Dimensions: Approx. 7inches wide x 70inches long not including fringe. If you’d like to make the scarf longer you can do extra repeats of the sections. Be sure you have enough yarn to create a fringe at the end if desired. Steam blocking is recommended to help the scarf lay flat, and bring out the stitch pattern, it will also help the fringe pieces to straighten.
