Turritella Socks
This design was inspired by the tightly coiled cone shaped shells of the Turritella genus of sea snails. The spiral lace pattern on these socks, which looks much more complicated than it is, has a very tight bias which twists down the leg.
Both charts and written directions are included.

Gauge
32 sts and 46 rows = 4” (10cm) over Stockinette stitch
34 sts and 46 rows = 4” (10cm) over Spiral Lace pattern
errata - Blue Moon version: Size medium should have a cast on of 76.
Set Up round: (K5, k2tog); repeat to last 6 sts, k6. (66sts)
NOTE: If you have trouble mirroring your ssk and k2tog decreases, your right and left sock might appear drastically different from each other. Make sure to work the ssk decrease on the tips of your needles to help minimize distortion.
Gauge is crucial. Fit is slightly loose in the cuff with very little negative ease. If you like your socks to fit snugly, then go down a needle size or knit the next size down.
