CONSTRUCTION
The Tursa cardigan is a seamless, top-down design. You begin by casting on stitches for the back and shaping the shoulders using short rows. The back is then worked in a mosaic pattern until you reach the underarms. Next, stitches for the front sections are picked up from the back piece and worked in a mirrored fashion, also up to the underarms.
The front and back of the sleeves are joined using a Modified 3-Needle Bind Off. From there, the body is worked in one piece down to the lower edge. Stitches for the front bands and collar are picked up and worked in a 2×2 rib pattern, with the collar shaped using short rows. For the sleeve ribbing, stitches are picked up and worked in 2×2 rib in the round.
