Moving across country I was delighted to see Turtle Crossing signs along many of the back roads. I have yet to see a turtle along the road, but I know several people who carry blankets in their cars to drape over a turtle to move them less stressfully. Here is a hat to honor the turtle. As with my other stranded creature hats, this hat is knit by repeating turtle patterns along the crown of your head with a border above and below to finish the pattern off. Play around with the colors to customize the perfect hat for you! The pattern includes instructions for a slouch hat (my personal favorite) which can be lengthened or shortened according to your preference. I’ve included several color examples to give you an idea of what you can do. Happy knitting!
