Moving across country I was delighted to see Turtle Crossing signs along many of the back roads. I have yet to see a turtle along the road, but I know several people who carry blankets in their cars to drape over a turtle to move them less stressfully. Here is a hat to honor the turtle. As with my other stranded creature hats, this hat is knit by repeating turtle patterns along the crown of your head with a border above and below to finish the pattern off. Play around with the colors to customize the perfect hat for you! The pattern includes instructions for a slouch hat (my personal favorite) which can be lengthened or shortened according to your preference.
