This pattern was created to mimic the three fingered look of the characters from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I am not the creator of the characters, I have only taken inspiration from them.
This pattern is ideal for an intermediate crocheter, as it requires even tension throughout the project and atypical placement of stitches to create complex shapes and textures. The mitten is worked in a round, from bottom to top. The body of the mitten is made using the waistcoat stitch, which creates a warm, dense fabric that resembles knit.
Do not duplicate this pattern in part or in full. You may sell your creations, but please give pattern credit to Amanda Van Den Elzen at Almightyemu Crafts.

Materials Used:
Yarn: Red Heart with Love - less than one skein of “Lettuce” colorway for body of mittens and less than one skein of whichever color you would like for the cuff. (I used the “Aubergine” colorway in examples)
Crochet Hook: 6.00mm crochet hook or whatever size you need for proper gauge.
