Please note — this pattern requires both knit and crochet.

This pattern gives directions to make a turtle-shaped pillow cover with removable shell.
The turtle body is knit from Bernat Blanket yarn - 1 skein of the “big ball” variety will do. I used the “Smokey Green” color.
The shell is crocheted with Bernat Blanket Extra yarn - 1.5 skeins are required. I used “Mushroom” color.
The cover is intended for a 16 inch round pillow, which can be purchased or sewn (directions not included)
The head is stuffed with fiberfil — a small pouch to hold it will make the fil easier to remove for washing. I stuffed a $1 elastic mitten in mine.
