Turtleback Shrug
This is a one sized easy shrug that fits sizes 32-38. It’s a simple one line repeat pattern, using just sc, e-sc and ch.
The pattern is made from bottom up, stitched sideways as a rectangle and then cleverly stitched to make it your shrug.
This pattern has been tested and graded as an Advanced beginner / Intermediate skill level; using

Vardhaman Millenium ; DK / 8 ply ;5.5 mm hook, 570 g / 1181 yds ; gauge of 2 e-sc across x 2 rows (vertical) in pattern = 1.5”.

Schachenmayr select Scarlett ; 8 mm (L) hook ; 1179 yards, 450 grams 9 skeins = 1179.0 yards (1078.1m); (Use a lighter/thinner yarn for more drape)

Bernat Baby Coordinates, 6 mm (H) hook ; prob 1180 yds (Very easy, lovely results)

Caron SS ; 5.5 mm (US 9, I) hook, 7 skeins ; Gauge 3 shells x 7 rows = 2” ; (Instructions very clear, explained very well, very versatile in that the look will change depending on yarn)
