I used one hank for the original pair and I knit them toe up. However, I recommend that you purchase 2 hanks to ensure that you have enough for a pair. You will have plenty of yarn left over.

Needle note from the pattern: “ Use 5 DPN’S in the size that permits you to obtain 6 Stitches per inch.”
