PATTERN DETAILS
Tutti Frutti is a modern take on a classic pinafore, and my nod to the practical garment that’s been in fashion for decades! Use a high-contrast color combo for a statement piece, or go low-contrast for a more subtle look.

Tutti Frutti has a form-skimming silhouette, but if you want a top that’s a bit more snug you can easily size down. With a tie waist and crisscross straps, Tutti Frutti works wonderfully over your favorite dress, chambray, or t-shirt!

This is a great pattern for you if:

• You like practical but pretty garments.
• You want to knit a garment, but still need the satisfaction of a quick knit.
• You want to learn intarsia.
• You love a vintage, preppy look.

CONSTRUCTION
Tutti Frutti is knit flat in one piece from the bottom-up using intarsia for the contrasting border, and includes princess darts to ensure a perfect fit.

TECHNIQUES
2x1 rib, intarsia, simple increases and decreases, picking up stitches, seaming/grafting, and applying trim.

Video tutorials are included for advanced techniques and transitions.

MATERIALS
Juniper Moon Farm—Zooey DK - a 60/40 Linen/Cotton fiber with a thick and thin texture and beautiful drape, or other similar DK weight yarn. Some options include: Bergere de France - Ecoton and Cabin Fever - Cotton Tweed DK (CAD).

GAUGE
Stockinette: 22 sts & 30 rows in 4”/10 cm - worked flat.
2x1 Ribbing: 18 sts in 4”/10 cm - when stretched — row gauge is not important here.
Note: working out of gauge may alter yardage and finished measurements.

NEEDLES
Waistband: -ONE- Size 3 (3.25 mm) - circular needles.*
Main Body: -ONE- Size 5 (3.75 mm) - circular needles.
Or size needed to obtain gauge.
