Tweed is a fun pillow worked in a combination of brioche and garter stitch forming a basketweave surface.

This is a beginner brioche project, it is actually a “didactic” pattern to learn how to work two-color brioche worked flat. No increases or decreases are used, but only plain two-color brioche stitch worked flat.



Finished size: 40 x 40 cm (16 x 16”).

Yarn
LC: Rowan Valley Tweed (100% Wool, 226 yds 207 m/50 grams), col. 111 Gryke; 1 skein.
DC1: Rowan Valley Tweed (100% Wool, 226 yds 207 m/50 grams), col. 107 Wolds Poppy; 1 skein.
DC2: Rowan Valley Tweed (100% Wool, 226 yds 207 m/50 grams), col. 105 Gordale; 1 skein.

Needles
3 mm/ US 2 ½ circular knitting needles with 60 cm/24” cable.

Notions
6 markers.
4 wooden buttons with 1.5 cm (0.5”) diam.
Tapestry needle to sew the sides.
