Tweed Sweater #1
Today is November 1, 2008. I have just placed this sweater and it’s sister sweater (Tweed Sweater #2. which looks totally different because I used different a different color pattern instead of this monotone one.) on my blog. The pattern will be coming as soon as I get my “chicken scratches” convereted to MS Word.
I have seen sweaters similar to this but I could not find their patterns. Because I wanted one for my niece, Miss Mady, I had to design one that I thought looked like what I wanted. This one is close so I am a pretty happy camper.
To change the sizes of the sweater, all you need to do is change the hook size and the weight of the yarn.
I tend to crochet very tightly so I do not include pattern guages. I always keep a tape measure handy and use it to check the size of the sweater.
In this sweater I made button holes for 3 buttons. These could very easily be left off and substituted with crochet ties or yarn ties.
