Fashion silk is great to work with. it doesn’t feel ropey or slippery like a lot of silks can due to the tubular construction. For this reason, it’s unusually good for color work and for the stretch of a hat. Take great care in subbing any yarn as it may greatly change the size of your project. This yarn is listed as a chunky, but i found it knits as an aran. This beret is designed specifically for a tween - it’s about 1” smaller in diameter than a ladies’ beret.
