Twig - by Ridge Knits

Twig is inspired by friendships made at Knit City. I had the pleasure of meeting Christel from Ferme Fiola Farm and Crystal from Purl and Hank, both from Manitoba Canada. Ferme Fiola Farm’s yarn is soft, whispy, and sturdy. And Purl and Hanks “The Shawl Buckle” is the perfect accesory to keep the shawl in place.

Twig is a triangular shawl knit from tip to end. It has yarn over increases on the RS, garter texture to give it bounce and comfort, and little twig cables that remind me of fall.

Materials:

Yarn:
700 yards of worsted weight yarn (shown in Ferme Fiola Farm in
“Rosalie 2021 wool clip”) Rosalie is a Rideau Arcott x Shetland
Sheep. Her yarn was grown and milled in Manitoba, Canada.

Gauge:
13 sts and 16 rows = 2.25” in cable pattern
18 sts and 30 rows = 4” in garter stitch

Suggested Needles:
US #7 / 4.5 mm 32 inch cable or as required to meet gauge

Notions:
stitch markers, cable needle, darning needle

Sizing: 64” wide by 46” long

The pattern has both charted and written instructions for the cable section.
