Description: “Twig patterns have always been one of my favourites. I wanted to knit a triangular shawl using the twig pattern and also to see whether the legend that a Haapsalu lace shawl can fit into a nutshell holds some truth. I knitted the first twig shawl from superfine 96/1 wool yarn and concluded that a shawl weighing 21 grams and measuring 150 cm wide might well fit into a coconut shell.”
