Twiggy~by Lesley Paskevich @YYC Knits Designs

This luscious merino head topper was inspired by the juiciest two ply, fingering weight, organic, merino wool I have ever had the pleasure of dyeing up. Space dyed with layers of colour, the multi dimensional fabric came to life with this eye popping twiggy cable.

After choosing the cable for this pattern, I googled “Twiggy” to be certain that it hadn’t been done before and to my surprise, Twiggy is the nickname of a very famous swinging sixties London model. Labelled as a British cultural icon and born as Lesley Lawson (1949) she shares my given first name down to the correct spelling.
Reading further, she not only shares my name but my birthdate! How fun

The 13 stitch cable chart is just as full of classic style as the model, singer and acrtress it’s named after.
