Twila Pullover is a sporty pullover with long raglan sleeves. The drawstring collar keeps the neck toasty and the large kangaroo pocket warms the hands. The pullover is worked top down in one piece. Except for a few rows, the pullover is worked completely in rounds. First, the collar with the drawstring casing is worked. A Vikkel Braid at the base of the collar provides a decorative transition to the body (the pattern contains a tutorial about how to join the Vikkel Braid joglessly in the round). The front neck is shaped with short rows. Then the upper body is worked with raglan shaping to the armhole depth. The sleeve stitches are put on hold, while the lower body is worked down to the ribbed hem with slight A-Line shaping and the roomy horizontal front pocket. Then the sleeves are finished in the round. Finally, I-Cord is worked in a contrast color and pulled through the drawstring casing.

Twila Pullover ist ein sportlicher Pullover mit langen Raglan-Ärmeln. Der Kragen mit Tunnelzug hält den Hals mollig warm und die große Kängurutasche wärmt die Hände. Der Pullover wird von oben nach unten in einem Stück gestrickt. Bis auf einige wenige Reihen wird der Pullover komplett in Runden gestrickt. Begonnen wird mit dem Kragen mit Tunnelzug. Ein Band mit querliegenden Maschen unten am Kragen sorgt für einen dekorativen Übergang zum Pulloverbody (die Anleitung beinhaltet ein Tutorial, wie das Band mit den querliegenden Maschen versatzlos zur Runde geschlossen werden kann). Der runde Halsausschnitt wird mit verkürzten Reihen geformt. Dann wird der Pullover mit Raglanzunahmen bis zum Erreichen der Armlochtiefe gestrickt. Die Ärmelmaschen werden stillgelegt und der untere Bereich des Pullovers mit leichter A-Linie und der geräumigen waagrechten Tasche am Vorderteil wird fertiggestellt. Anschließend werden die Ärmel in der Runde gestrickt. Zuletzt wird die Kordel in einer Kontrastfarbe gefertigt und durch den Tunnelzug am Kragen gezogen.

Additionally, you will need some fingering weight yarn in a contrasting color for the I-Cord.

The sample pullover 1 used 5g (18m/20yds) of Frida Fuchs “Steppke Single” (100% Merino; 366m (400yds)/100g) in color “Erdbeere”. The sample pullover 2 used Walk Collection “Cozy Merino” in color “Random Walk” for the I-Cord.
