by Lisa Lloyd
Pattern Description from A Fine Fleece: “This is an enchanting little lace pattern and perfect for playing with a multitude of yarns.”
Skill Level: Intermediate Beginner.
Finished Measurements: Approximately 22 x 65” (56 x 165cm) after blocking.
Yarn: #1 super fine
- 600 yds (549m) laceweight to fingering weight
- 1 skein Lorna’s Laces Heaven, 7 oz (199g) skeins, each approximately 975 yds (892m), 90% kid mohair, 10% nylon, Happy Valley.
Needles and Notions:
- US size 8 (5mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
- Tapestry needle
Note: The garter ridge dividing the repeats of the lace can be worked in a contrasting yarn, by way of a contrast color or even in a contrasting weight, as shown in the handspun scarf version here. The choice of yarns greatly affects gauge with this pattern. Swatch to get a feel for how open you want your Twilight lace to appear.
