Twillish Beanie
This pattern for a stranded beanie was inspired by twill scarves I was weaving on my table loom. The pattern was designed with handspun yarn to accompany my Twillish Fingerless Gloves. The pattern includes two versions, one with Light MC/Dark CC charts and the other with Dark MC/Light CC charts.
SIZE: Baby (Toddler, Child, Adult S, M, L)
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
Circumference: 15.75 (17, 18.5, 20, 21.5, 22.75)“/40 (43.25, 47, 50.75, 54.5, 57.75) cm to fit with 1-2“/ 2.5-5cm negative ease
Height: 6 ( 7, 8, 8.5, 8.5, 9)“/15.25 (17.75, 20.25, 21.5, 21.5, 22.75) cm
GAUGE: 28 sts/ 28 rows = 4“/10 cm in stranded stockinette stitch
MATERIALS:
sport weight yarn in 2 colors with good contrast (17-51g/60yds-130yds MC & 6-28g/ 22-72yds CC)
Shown above in 12 wpi handspun 2-ply sport weight yarn (size Adult S)
Yield:
MC: natural grey CVM: 428 yds/6 oz/169g, used 122 yds/1.7 oz/47g
CC: natural brown Navajo Churro: 114 yds/2 oz/56g, used 42 yds/0.7 oz/21g
Drafting method: Short forward draw, spun woolen for warmth
