This design can be used with any yarn and needle size, though I think it would lose some of it’s elegance with bulkier yarns. I used Paton’s Silk Bamboo yarn in the Moss colorway on size six needles and it made a scarf about 4 inches wide. 6oz of yarn is enough for a good sized scarf.

The featured picture shows the scarf with the original 3 knit stitch border before I found out about how badly stockinette stitch curls. I changed the pattern to include a garter stitch border to help it lay flat.
