Welcome to the 2nd Annual Cozy Up Knits Mystery Knit A-long. We can’t believe it’s already been a whole year since the My Sister’s Shawl MKAL and we hope you are getting your yarn ready for the Twin it Up! This year our design has been inspired by the 2 youngest sisters Katie and Krissy who just happen to be twins! They have given us a list of the things they like and dislike when knitting shawls so we took that list and came up with a surprise design that even they haven’t seen. Kate and Kris will be knitting along with you starting Jan. 1 and we are sure you will enjoy what we have in store for you all.

In true MKAL fashion, we will not be telling you the final shape of the shawl but we will tell you these few things:
It is a fun twist on a classic shape
It is not a stole (rectangle) or an egg shape.
There is no brioche, colorwork, cables or intricate lace.
If you are comfortable with knit and purl textures and adventurous enough to try a couple new techniques, you will do just fine!
We will release a YouTube tips and tricks video to go along with the clues each week.

Clue Schedule: #1 - Jan 1, 2019 and 4 more clues to follow every Tuesday with the 5th clue scheduled for Jan 29, 2019.

Prizes will be drawn from the Finished Objects and Chatter threads in Ravelry on Feb. 7, 2019 and winners announced on our Cozy Up Knits weekly podcast.

Materials:
Size 3.5 mm (US 4) needles
3 x 100g (425yards) fingering weight yarn. At least 1-2 solid colors are suggested. All colors will touch each other so the key is to choose 3 that you absolutely LOVE all together.
If using 1 solid and 2 speckled, make C2 the solid or highest contrasting
If using 2 solids and 1 speckled, make C2 the speckled
If using 3 solids, choose the highest contrast for C2
2 stitch markers and 1 dingledop to mark the right side of work.
Garter Gauge:
Approx: 26 sts and 46 rows = 4 inches unblocked
