Twin Leaf and cable scarf with lacy pointed edgings
Lacy scarf featuring a central Twin Leaf pattern with a cable at each side and lacy pointed edgings along both sides.
The scarf in the photographs used 4 x 25gm balls of Rowan Fine Tweed in light grey and was knitted on size 3.75mm (9) needles. It measures approximately 8” wide x 57” long after being pressed with a steam iron.
Any other yarn can be used to make this scarf but, if not using a similar 4ply, the size will differ according to the thinness or thickness of the yarn.
The scarf was knitted in one piece, so is not asymmetrical - the scallop pattern is different at cast-on and cast-off edges and, when worn, the leaf pattern will be upside-down on one side. If you want it to be asymmetrical, the scarf should be knitted in two pieces and joined together in the centre.
