Twinkle Five-pointed Star
Free until 5th December!
Grab yourself some thin wire LED string fairy lights and a large crochet hook and you can make up one of these easy crochet wire stars in ten minutes or so. Makes an impressive and eye-catching festive ornament for the top of your Christmas tree or to hang anywhere you like. Also makes an unusual gift for friends and family.
My five-pointed star was made with a 12mm hook measured approximately 23cm (9in) from point to point, but it varied a little from star to star – proof your mood can affect your tension!
The pattern includes a step-by-step video to guide you through the process, as well as photo tutorials and a handy chart. Give it a go - it’s much easier than it looks and pretty much guaranteed to impress anyone who sees it twinkle.
Note: Look for the LED fairy lights with a USB plug and remote control - they generally cost around £5-10 ($5-10).
