This little blanket was inspired by both my two year old son and by my new baby (who hasn’t been born yet). He loves the song Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and one day this design came to me while I was singing to him. The star clusters in the pattern are fairly simple and fun, just like the French tune used in the song. The yarn I used was of my own creation as well, I’m one of the dyers (Holly) for Holly and Ivy Dyeworks. Holly Sock-Baby Bee mini skeins were especially dyed for this project in mind; I wanted something bright and neutral. It takes one full sized skein of Holly Sock (or other fingering weight of the same yardage) along with a set of Holly Sock-minis to make this project. Kits are available through www.hollyandivydyeworks.com starting Oct. 1, 2017.
