This is a written pattern but also has a graph chart to make a child size blanket measuring around 38 inches wide by around 46 inches tall. If you would prefer to make a smaller blanket then double knitting yarn can be used with a 4mm hook.

Although the pattern us in UK terms it only uses chain, double crochet and bobble stitch so can be read as US terms by doing US single crochet (SC) in place of the double crochet (DC).

The blanket is made in one piece and is suitable for all crocheters - beginners to experienced.

I have also added a picture of the blanket with a yellow star made in aran with a 6mm hook. The pattern is for the all blue blanket but simply do all the star bobbles in yellow rather than blue.

I have used a 7mm hook with around 850g - 900g of James C. Brett Top Value Chunky Yarn but it can be made in double knit with a 4mm hook for a baby size blanket.
