Twinning Mitts
Hello everyone!
The Twinning Mitts are fingerless colorwork mittens knit seamlessly in the round, starting at the cuff and ending at the fingers, with Latvian braids on both ends for a polished and neat edge.
They are meant to be knit in pairs, with main and contrast color switched. You will get two pairs of mittens that work perfectly fine on their own but are also very cute when next to each other, making for the perfect gift: you can keep one pair and give the other to a friend or significant other.
They are knit on 3 mm needles using sport weight yarn. I used Bel Ami from Lanar (50 g = 158 m).
For one pair of size 1 mittens and one pair of size 2 (knit with main and contrast colors switched) I used a little bit more than one skein of each colour.
You could easily fit two size 1 mittens in one skein of each color and one pair of each size if you do less repeats of the colorwork pattern on the cuff or the fingers part.
If you enjoy the pattern, feel free to share it on Instagram and create a Ravelry page with your project!

Happy knitting!
(The first yardage requirement is intended as the total for size 1. The second yardage requirement is intended as the total for size 2. For one pair of size 1 mittens and one pair of size 2, I used a little more than one skein of each color.)
!!!!!
I included both sizes in the pattern, but the biggest size hasn’t been tested. If you’re interested in knitting that, please reach out and I’d be happy to send you the pattern for free if you’re willing to give me some feedback on the fit :)
