A simple shawlette, knit sideways. It can also be used as a scarf. Cable pattern is written and charted.

I designed it to use only one skein of sock yarn. It is an easy knit with a simple cable border, perfect for cable beginners.
Instructions are also given to knit it with less than a skein by using exactly the amount of yarn available.

This pattern will work well with all kinds of yarn: plain, variegated or striped.
