Oftentimes I fall in love with a yarn. When a company offers a coordinated dyed-to-match set, they have sealed the romance—even when the yarns vary slightly in gauge, texture, and color. I began a knit-in-the-round skirt with the thickest yarn of this trio. A few days later I was ready to add the other two to the mix.

I sampled stripes—it was ok. Then I tried a ripple—better, but not great. For my third swatch, I split the ripple, inserting stitches between the angles—stripes with Torque. Success! Perfect for a pullover! Placed in opposing configurations, the stripes arch up in front and dip in back. Still enamored, I added a third piece. A cardigan vest repeats the striping with a Twist—a single increase line in each front.
