Twist and Shine
A round dishcloth with a cable and picot border. The cable is
knitted first, flat, then grafted together into a circle, then stitches on both sides are picked up to be knitted in the round from the outside in for the body, and from the inside out for the border’s outer edge. The body is shaped by regular decreases, while the picot border is shaped by increases.
Put two of my dishcloth patterns into your cart and pay for only one! No code needed.
The pattern comes with charts as well as round by round written instructions, and directions on how to resize it into a larger item, e.g. baby blanket. An online version of the chart and its round by round instructions, with a progress tracker by Stitch Fiddle, is also included.
A great pattern to use up leftover yarn, and learn techniques like knitting cables, grafting and picking up stitches along a knitted edge. It makes a very nice and elaborate looking cloth that can be a fancy piece for ourselves, or a great gift for a friend.
It can also be enlarged into a placemat, rug or blanket.
