The Twisted Brim Slouch beanie is a moderately easy pattern that requires only a little experience. Worked in the round on circular needles, pattern includes instructions for 3 weights-dk, worsted and light bulky-for a one-size-fits-most teen/adult hat. The brim features left twist and purl stitches, while the body is worked in simple stockinette. It’s a perfect candidate for market prep because it is quick and easy, and has mass appeal with its gender-neutral, casual, chic style! It is easy to make, easy to wear and easy on the eyes. What more do you need?

Pattern is written in US terms for double knit, worsted, and light bulky yarn. It includes charts, tables, video links and written instructions. It is knit in the round from the bottom up, with an easy 6-stitch repeat from brim to crown.

One size fits most teen-adults. Beanie fits approximately 18-22” head circumference. A Hat Sizing Chart is also included to help with customizing. Adapting patttern for other sizes is easy to do with this design. So is mixing it up with some stripes and using up your scraps, making it a great stash-buster!

Skill level:
Moderately easy pattern that you make yourself. Suitable for knitters with only a little experience, including knitters new to 1/1 cables. In fact, the left twist stitch is made without a cable needle. The bulkier the yarn, the less twist stitches in the pattern. Never knit them before? Begin with the light bulky version; you will have them down in no time at all!

Worsted - 4/4.5 mm (US 6/7) circular needles; 132.5 m/145 yd
Light bulky - 5.5/6 mm (US 9/10) circular needles; 90 m/98 yd
