This pattern produces fingerless mittens which feature a large, twisted cable up the front of each mitten. Instructions are provided on customizing the length of the ribbed, expandable cuff. There are also directions for optional cross-wrist tabs to be fastened with buttons.

Size: Women’s, one size fits most

Finished Size (Laying Flat): Hand circumference ~20cm (8”); Length ~20cm (8”)

The pattern is written in standard American crochet terms. The pattern is not a beginner pattern, but would be a great introduction for those familiar with front-post stitches who haven’t yet tried their hand at cables.

This pattern calls for worsted-weight yarn and a 4.5mm crochet hook. The samples in the photos were completed using Patons Classic Wool in ‘Jade Heather’ and ‘Leaf Green,’ and in Lion Brand Fisherman’s Yarn in ‘Natural.’
