Let’s knit a Cable sweater together for free !

This sweater has a distinctive cable design both on the front and the back and has a combination of cable and ribs on the sleeves.

It is worked flat from bottom to top for the front and back. The sleeves and collar are knit in the round from the picked-up body stitches. The collar is made with an integrated hem and is finished with an elastic to maintain the opening’s elasticity.

The finished sweater is 55cm/21.6in wide by 55cm/21.6in high for the body and 44cm/17.3in for the sleeves.
Intructions are provided to adapt it for smaller or bigger sizes.

For the pictured model, I used two strands: one of wool and one of mohair to add a cozy and modern touch.

To knit it, you’ll need a set of circular and double-pointed needles 4.5mm/US7 and 5mm/US8 and around 8 balls of wool and 5 of mohair.

As the needles are quite big, this project is a pretty fast one.
