I designed this for the April 2021 Sock Knitters Anonymous DYO Challenge. The pattern is based up design 3 “Double Diamond” from Norah Gaughan’s Twisted Stitch Sourcebook.

This cuff down sock with heel flap, round heel and standard toe is suitable for any sock yarn. Staggered chains of diamonds end in points on the sides and back, while continuing on the foot. While designed for 5 double pointed needles, it could be adapted for magic loop, 2 circulars or any other small circumference method; however some rearranging of stitches is required for pattern continuity. The pattern is written with a leg circumference of 72 stitches and a foot of 64 stitches. The foot length can be adjusted as needed.
