A warm winter cap featuring Austrian twisted stitch patterning. Instructions for two sizes are included. The medium measures approximately 18 inches (46cm) unstretched to fit head sizes to 22 inches and the large is 19 (48cm) inches to fit head sizes to 23 inches (58cm). The cap is tall enough to fully cover the ears.

TOOLS: 16 inch circular and double pointed needles (or preferred choice for completing the smaller circumferences at the crown) in the size needed to get the required gauge. Gauge for the patterned portion of the hat is described in the instructions.
A cable needle is optional. This is a good pattern for practicing cabling without a needle.

This pattern is charted with a key that includes instructions for each type of stitch. The chart is color coded for easier reading. Line by line instructions are not included.

While most suited for the intermediate knitter, there is nothing an adventurous beginner could not master with reference to some of the many print and online tutorials for the required techniques.
