This brioche hat came about when I wondered how cabled lines would look within a leaf motif and when I sketched up my idea I thought why not try it? :)

The cables are similar to regular knitting cables except now they include brks and brps. Don’t let that intimidate you! I think you’ll do just fine. <3

Size:
Adult One size slouchy fit

Experience:
Intermediate brioche experience with increases, decreases, and knitting cables

Yarns:
Madelinetosh Tosh DK yarn (I used Dried Rose and Scout)
Any DK weight yarn will work in two coordinating colors
Between 220 - 250 yards used of both colors

Gauge:
In pattern, 16 stitches (8 brioche knit stitches and 8 brioche purl stitches) and 24 rows in a 4” x 4” swatch

Finished Measurements:
Depth is 10” and 22” around at the brim (measurement taken after blocking)
