This is a very easy cowl to knit and very easy to wear. It is knitted in a twisted rib, but only with knitting though the back loop, no purling tbl! It is stretchy, soft and warm.

The gage I gave is for standard aran yarn, as for this particular pattern, gage is really not very important, as long as you stick with aran or chunky (bulky) yarn weights.

I knitted this cowl some time ago, and since then Artesano British Chunky has been discontinued unfortunately, however you can still get it on ebay in the UK if you wish.
Artesano Aran is still widely available.
