Welcome to the Twisted Waffle Hat! This hat is squishy and warm without being too bulky. In other words, it’s easy to stash in the car or bag so it’s ready when you need it. The pattern lends itself nicely to all kinds of yarn options. It can be made with DK weight held single, fingering weight held double, fingering held with mohair or suri alpaca, or even a light worsted weight held single. It is best suited for tonal or solid color yarns because the cables are small and subtle. It is written as one size fits all (teen/adult). However, it would be easy to size up by changing your needle size.

Materials
Yarn: 1 skein of DK wt, 200-250yds OR 1 Skein fingering wt, 400yds (for holding double)

Needles: size US 5 (3.75mm) 16” circulars, double points or longer cable for magic loop for crown decreases
Cable needle if desired
