Twisting Tides
Originally published in Knitrino, this pattern is now available for individual sale.
I love it when my knitting feels close to painting, which is how it feels when using this technique. Two color twisted stitches travel across this hat like delicate brushstrokes across a canvas. If you’ve done two color stranded knitting before, this technique simply takes that one step further by introducing two-stitch right and left twists. These twists are sometimes worked with a single color, and other times use both colors.
This hat is knit from the bottom up in the round. The hat body and crown are worked in two-color twist stitch knitting. Carry both colors throughout each round and change colors via the stranded method.
