A beautifully cabled brim transitions into delicately simple, twisted lacework that flows seamlessly through the crown. The brim is worked horizontally in rows, with stitches picked up to knit the rest of the hat in the round from the bottom up. SIZING
Hat is shown in Slouchy style, size S. Although Brim lengths are provided, you can achieve a perfect fit by working the horizontal brim to the exact length that works with your actual head circumference. Regardless of the hat style you’re knitting, you’ll want the Brim to be smaller than your actual head circumference. For the Beret & Slouch styles, Brim should fit snugly, but not uncomfortably so to help hold the weight of the extra fabric. For the Beanie, you’ll still want a Brim that is smaller than your circumference but it can be slightly looser than for the other two styles.

EXPERIENCE
Pattern is written for intermediate level knitters ready to follow stitch patterns and pick up and knit. Instructions are provided to either work a provisional cast on to graft live stitches together, or to replace the provisional CO and seam as an alternative.

OPTIONS
As for the Brim circumference, you can easily adjust the overall length of your hat to suit your personal preferences by adding or removing repeats. Individual crown shaping instructions are provided for each style to keep the lacework in place for as long as possible. Twisty Eyelet stitch pattern is both written and charted, as is the crown shaping.
