This simple, squishy cowl fits snugly around the neck. I personally love cowls but very often they’re so bulky that I can barely zip up my coat properly! So I decided to make this cowl specifically so it would just cover my neck, but long enough to pull up over my face in case it gets really cold!

It’s worked in the round, entirely in fisherman’s rib, in two alternating colors, which form a beautiful vertical color pattern.

The gauge is only an estimate, measured unstretched. More than anything, it’s meant to indicate the weight of yarn you’ll need, it’s not super important for the size.

Skills required:

  • knit / purl into the stitch below (purling from behind)
  • long-tail cast on
  • Jeny’s super stretchy bind off

You’ll need a 19 ½“ (50 cm) long circular needle, or you can use the magic loop method.
