This pattern uses two colors of yarn (probably actually a little more than half a skein each if you make a 12 inch washcloth) in alternating stripes to form a pattern that looks complex but is just moss stitch. If you know how to work ribbing you can do this!

The stitch pattern is easy to alter for a larger or smaller cloth as you like.
